All the original broadcast shows come with adverts that interrupt the story at the start, in the middle and at the end. The adverts add up to quite a few minutes per episode and soon become annoying after you've listened to a few of the adventures.

Because of this, I've edited out these bothersome commercial breaks in the story from all 54 shows in my possession but kept some portions of the introduction, goodbyes, and the to-and-fro between Dr. Watson and the host in order to keep the natural flow of the storytelling.

I've equalised the volume on all shows, tidied up the mp3 tags and added a picture, so they all look nice on your pc / mac / mp3 players, etc. The edited shows are available to buy on CD for £4.95 inc. p&p to the UK, £6.95 inc. p&p to rest of the world.

When Basil Rathbone left the radio show in 1946, Tom Conway was the replacement Sherlock Holmes for 39 shows, with Nigel Bruce continuing on as Dr. Watson. There's currently 38 of these shows in circulation ⁄ existence and I've also edited out the advert breaks from these shows. After feeling ambivalent about these shows for a while, I find myself liking them more as I listen to them. Conway has a voice similar to Rathbone, and Bruce is fabulous as Watson as per usual.
